NASAGA 2025 Conference Scholarships
Want to come to NASAGA 2025, but money is an issue? Read on and let’s talk about scholarships!
The goal of the NASAGA scholarship program is to allow more people to participate in the annual conference. A NASAGA scholarship may cover conference fees, hotel, and travel expenses, where applicable. Financial coverage will be detailed in an acceptance letter, and all scholarships will be by reimbursement. Please note that pre-conference fees and NASAGA merchandise are not covered by a scholarship.
Applicants must reside in North America and demonstrate interest in the field of gaming and simulation for learning purposes. If the scholarship fund cannot accommodate all applicants, preference will be given to:
Applicants who best exemplify the goals of diversity and inclusion, gaming in education, or gaming for social justice as described in their narrative;
First-time conference attendees;
Those who are proposing a session for the conference; and
Students.
The deadline for scholarship application is September 2, 2025. You will be notified via email by September 16, 2025.
Our scholarships honor two amazing NASAGAns:
Judee Blohm was the backbone of NASAGA until her passing in July of 2013. She was long-time Editor of SIMAGES as well as Editor and facilitator of the NASAGA Training Activity book. She was an inspiration, a mentor, and a very creative person. The Judee Blohm award honors her life and dedication by providing assistance in her name to those who share her love of games and learning.
Richard Powers was a novelist, playwright, mime performer, professor, wide-ranging educator, and game designer. He was introduced to NASAGA simulation and gaming in 1975, when he stepped into a crowded elevator and was drawn into learning how to play a numbers game. Upon his passing March 2014, a fund was created in his honor and now provides funds to those who share his interest in simulation and gaming in the fields of social justice and/or sustainability.
