I'm interested in designing collaborative activities that integrate physical environments with mobile devices to help teach social media literacy, sales methodologies, and even leadership and change management.

Thoughts about that in this discussion thread would be great.

That is a very lucrative idea. What is needed is a method of teaching young children 4-9 how to tell good web sites from bad. Once you do that you will also have a market with ESL at all ages. Probably a market in seniors too. I know some seniors that are pretty savy with computers but they are probably only 20% of the total. The majority either don't use the computer at all or just know how to read and send emails.
OK! I use the "Magics Pins" of Elka, a brazilian factory: http://www.elka.com.br/produtos/consulta.asp?busca=pinos+m%E1gico&a... .

The pins have 5 colors and 4 formats. I use them in my Games like gems/precious metals to produced jewel and discut with my students the Management Excellence Model ®.

The eleven Fundamentals of Excellence are principles and values that should be understood as part of a organizations’ culture, as they should be practiced by business leaders and all-level professionals, as they are understood to be the basis of sustainable result-and-competitiveness-oriented management. These Fundamentals are:

1. Systemic Thinking
2. Organizational Learning
3. Culture of Innovation
4. Leadership and Constancy of Purposes
5. Processes-and-Information-Based Management
6. Vision of the Future
7. Value Creation
8. Valuing People
9. Knowledge of the Customer and the Market
10. Partnerships Development
11. Social Responsibility

The eight Criteria of Excellence make up a systemic model which enables the application and assessment of the cultural basis supported by the eleven Fundamentals. The criteria allow to quantitatively or qualitatively measuring organizations’ management maturity:

1. Leadership
2. Strategies and Plans
3. Customers
4. Society
5. Information and Knowledge
6. People
7. Processes
8. Results
How do you use the magic pins in the game? Interesting idea...
Why do "badges" work as motivational elements?
